Use money to solve problems?

“Why can’t you do it? Do you have money?” This question sounded annoying in a meeting a long time ago. The speaker intentionally threw that sentence at me directly.

Hearing it, I developed a particular attitude toward money: It doesn’t make sense to use money all the time. This reflects inequality. And can money solve every problem?

“Do you have money? Could you give it to me? I’ll show you.” He kept talking and used a sentence that made me feel annoyed. Even though I wasn’t that old then, I could still control my temper. Or maybe it was because he was much older. Anyway, I was lucky that it was like that. After that, he continued talking until I understood the elder wasn’t trying to annoy me but wanted me to change my attitude. I was lucky that I got past his attitude and gained some insights until today...

Using money to solve problems

While I was frowning during that conversation, the following sentence was still a question like “Is it true?” If you have money, you can do that thing. It can solve the problem. When there were many questions, I thought back and realized it was true. If you have money, you can solve those problems. With various procurements, it is only worth it or not.

If money can solve the problem, we should stop saying, “It’s impossible” or “Can’t be done,” closing off our attempts to solve it.

Of course, there may be better solutions than money because some things can be solved but may have to be expensive. The point is, if we have an attitude that cuts money out of the process just because we think like “people with no money,” we will lack specific perspectives and methods...

Let’s give a simple example: We are just students with no income and a low-income family. We have to do a project to submit to the teacher. Our idea has some components that require a photo of you driving an expensive sports car. The precise first thing is that we probably don’t have money to buy a sports car. Even if we can buy it, we will need more than just taking a photo.

The next option is to rent. But with our status, renting is still too expensive. In this case, it will be impossible not to do it.

When we read, we may have an attitude of “possibility” (because it is not our problem) and think that we should use that method. But in reality, many times, when we think that we “have no money,” we may immediately “give up” on the idea of doing something. In this case, it would be not taking pictures with sports cars anymore…

Money can solve problems, but if there is no money…

In many cases, the factors may be more complicated or have a “process” than the simple example I gave. If we try to think “with money” first, in the sense that if we have money, we will buy that thing, hire someone to do this, and see the possibility of what we need to do to succeed in that matter first. Now, when there is not enough money, or it is not worth it, we gradually cut out parts by parts. Some things can be rented instead of bought, some things can be borrowed or rented, or instead of hiring someone, we can ask for help from friends or relatives, solving the problems individually. Many things are possible.

If we have an attitude of possibility first, the ideas will flow continuously and not be difficult. It is like not having money to rent a sports car. Some people think that they can edit the photos. They can hire someone if they do not know how to edit or are afraid that it will not be realistic. It should be cheaper than renting a car. And if hiring someone to edit to make it realistic is still expensive (Money again), The solution might be to use your status as a student to ask for a showroom. How about you ask to work with someone who rents a car for photography in exchange for a sneaky photo session?

I came up with this idea because I tried to think in a possible way. But in the end, if that matter only requires money, at least I know how much more money I have to save to make it successful. I have also found a way to use the least amount of money. But it’s not like it’s “impossible” or “impossible.”

Many people who have read this may think that if we have ideas and thoughts, we can solve the problem. If we look at it superficially and don’t connect, this matter is undoubtedly the case. But from a particular perspective, many people don’t think in a way that “breaks down the problem into small pieces” or are in a state of “discouragement.” When they see a problem, they want to conclude, end it, and run away. This attitude or thought process is essential. Even if we face that problem and are in a financial crisis, we may not want to think or feel like thinking about creative ideas.

Money can’t solve every problem, but...

This article doesn’t talk about using money to solve real problems. But we must admit that if we think about it for fun, money can solve many problems if we have enough. But if you ask, can money hit anyone’s head? The answer is no, it can’t be done. But from what I have written, not having cash hits us in the head, making us have a distorted attitude. Even though it cannot be argued that capitalism has an advantage in the inequality that exists, if we don’t have money and think that we can’t do anything, so we don’t do anything, we have to think carefully. Even without money, we can be oppressed by “money”, so why can’t money solve the problem?

Note: It is strange, but I can’t remember clearly where the story at the beginning happened and who it happened to. I only vaguely remember that it was a meeting of some kind, and the speaker was older in both age and status at that time (I often work in this environment). I admit that the first time I heard that sentence with a confident attitude, I was pretty shocked and irritated, but in the end, the matter in the meeting did have a good solution when I changed my mind to a “possible” angle first.
